Enhance your decision-making in the backcountry with the Alaska Winter Weather Forecasting (Basic) course, hosted by the Alaska Avalanche School. This virtual training takes place November 15–16, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in interpreting weather models, understanding atmospheric processes, and applying forecasts to winter travel planning. Ideal for skiers, snowboarders, snowmachiners, and anyone navigating Alaska’s unpredictable winter conditions.
