About the event
Take your avalanche education further with the Level 2 Avalanche Course, hosted by the Alaska Avalanche School from January 22–25, 2026, with daily sessions from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Hatcher Pass. This 4-day course is designed for experienced backcountry users looking to deepen their understanding of snowpack analysis, weather interpretation, risk management, and leadership in avalanche terrain. It builds on Level 1 fundamentals with advanced fieldwork and decision-making tools.
